Project Overview

I had worked on numerous Xbox landing experiences for Lego, with each one being unique. Sometimes the pages would arrive fully designed, and just require production work, to hand over to the development team. Other times, such as in this case with Lego Superheroes, I was given a lot of freedom to experiment with the provided assets.

I began the design process by going through 300 Lego images, and grouping them into Marvel and DC categories. My first digital job was painting comic books, so I still recalled my DC vs. Marvel character groupings! I then built the navigation items and backgrounds, reflecting the Lego Superheroes branding.

I wanted the pages to be fun and energetic, with clear UI navigation. I worked closely with the developer to create some motion, when the user first visits the advertising experience. The end result was fun landing experience, for both Marvel and DC licenses, with featured video and image galleries.
